Pittsburgh Aquarium Society 1919
Pittsburgh Aquarium Society 1919: An interesting original letter from the president of the Pittsburgh Aquarium Society thanking Charles H. Townsend, director of the New York Aquarium, for pamphlets he had sent him. The main point of the letter was a plea to help the aquarium society convince the elected officials in the city of Pittsburgh to consider building their own public aquarium. Finally, in 1967 the Pittsburgh Zoo added the AquaZoo to their compound.
