Skunks Must Be Bred Domestically

Article from May 1963 edition of All Pets Magazine that advocates for the domestic breeding of skunks to avoid states outlawing them. At the time, skunks were beginning to be outlawed in an effort to stop the spread of rabies. It’s interesting seeing this slice of history, as now 70 years later skunks have been completely outlawed in 32 states, are legal with a permit or in certain counties in 15 more states, and are only completely legal without a permit in 3 states.
