Triton Plexaquarium 1975 Ad

The 1970s saw the introduction of acrylic aquariums. Acrylic is lighter than glass, clearer than glass, and allows for round corners or tunnels. It was also excellent for marine aquariums. Unfortunately, acrylic was much more expensive than glass, and this killed the smaller acrylic aquarium business.
