NELSON CERAMICS and AUTOATROMIC DOGS!

This is an interesting 4 page catalog published during the mod 1960s era for pet products. I have never heard of the company R. H. McElheney, Inc., but they state that they have been in business for 21 years in 1966. The first page of the catalog has autoatromic birds, dogs, cats, and even monkeys that would have been used in display windows of pet shops. The second page has a rare listing of U.S.-made ceramic ornaments for the H.F. Nelson Ceramics Company of Artesia, California. Nelson was in business from the mid-1960s into the 1970s and was the largest U.S. manufacturer of ceramic aquarium ornaments at the time. All Nelson ornaments were stamped with their company name on the bottom of the ornament. The last page has a listing of dog, cat, bird, hamster, tortoise, and tropical fish books published in the 1960s.
